- Eat well and drink adequate amount of fluids. Dehydration is a main cause of headaches during this period. Ensure that you have enough of water among other beverages. Eating a balanced diet will keep you energized all day and capable of nourishing your unborn baby.
- Avoid stress and tension. Find time to relax in a quiet environment to avoid the occurrence of headaches or migraines. More so, your mood is said to somehow affect the development of the fetus. Therefore, make the most of the pregnancy time as you wait the arrival of the baby.
- Do exercises to enhance your posture. The back muscles are often under pressure during pregnancy. Make sure that you exercise regularly to reduce headaches at the early weeks of the pregnancy.
- Avoid at all costs those foods or allergens that trigger headaches. Examples of these include monosodium glutamate, strong cheeses and cured meats among others.
